Verwood Methodist church is an official ‘Fair Trade Church’. This means we use fairly traded coffee, tea and sugar when serving refreshments at all Church events, as well as selling a wide range of fair trade products to our congregation on a regular basis.
Traidcraft is now the leading fair trade organisation in the UK, and was established in 1979 as a Christian response to world poverty.
“Choosing to buy fair trade products is easy in itself but it also says something important about our values, principles and the sort of world we want to live in and pass onto our children” (Traidcraft 2008)
By purchasing fair trade items YOU are helping to fight poverty through trade - Transforming trade can transform lives.
