Verwood Methodist Church

Verwood Methodist Church is an official 'Fair Trade Church'. This means that we use fairly traded coffee, tea and sugar when serving refreshments at all Church events, as well as selling a wide range of fair trade products to our congregation on a regular basis.

Traidcraft is now the leading fair trade organisation in the UK, and was established in 1979 as a Christian response to world poverty.

By purchasing fair trade items YOU are helping to fight poverty through trade - Transforming trade can transform lives.
The catalogue shows the best of fair trade gifts, fashion and food.    In the catalogue you will find many fairly traded food items, chocolate, sweets and baked goods, cereals, dried fruits, sugars and honeys, and also products made with Fairtrade ingredients.   There is a range of  reasonably priced everyday greeting cards and stationery items, bedding, clothes, toys, hand crafted ornaments and gifts, household items and jewellery.   One of the latest additions to the catalogue is a range of eco-friendly household cleaning items made from fairly traded palm oil grown naturally in Africa, where no rain forests need to be destroyed to make room for it to grow.    This range includes laundry liquid, hand wash, washing-up liquid, bars of soap, and an all purpose cleaning spray, all without any nasty chemicals, which make for a greener, fairer planet.

Choosing to buy fair trade products is easy in itself but it also
says something important about our values, principles and the
sort of world we want to live in and pass onto our children”
